On the August 26th, 2005, took place in the
city of Xai-Xai, a meeting of establishment
of Project Liaison Board (PLB).
Cyclists travel the
Park

A trip of cyclists that moved about 200
tourists during four successive days had the
privilege of waking up thousands of
established people in the National Park of
Limpopo for the new reality of tourism that,
this way, it is practically thrown, in this
conservation area, integrated in the
regional project of the Great Limpopo
Trans-frontier Park.
Good results
against stealthy
2005/10/25
The National Park of Limpopo always faced
the combat of the stealthy hunt as a subject
of permanent work. There is not any ended
formula for treatment of subjects related
with the stealthy hunt. Recently the Park
has introduced some changes in the strategy
of the protection. It passed from the
outlined protection in team, established in
permanent piquet for a new formula,
involving the team and mobile piquet and
this change is giving up good results.
Government approves
works of Giriyondo
2005/09/17
Seven ministers of Mozambique, namely of the
Finances, Public Works and House, Interior,
Tourism, Environment affairs and the vice
ministers of the Foreign affairs and of the
Agriculture, visited the National Park of
Limpopo on Friday August 19th, 2005, with
the purpose of verifying the state of the
works olden at the frontier position of
Giriyondo and its needs in terms of
equipment and human resources, in relation
to the final aspects and preparations for
its inauguration, foreseen for the next
October, in a ceremony to be testified by
his Excellencies president Armando Guebuza,
Thabo Mbeki and Robert Mugabe, of
Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe,
respectively.
Transfrontier Park is now joint initiative
2004/06/21
The establishment of the Great Limpopo
Transfrontier Park is a process that will
link the Parque Nacional do Limpopo in
Mozambique, Kruger National Park in South
Africa, Gonarezhou National Park, Manjinji
Pan Sanctuary and Malipati Safari Area in
Zimbabwe.

Events, a First for Limpopo
2004/06/21
The Limpopo Tourism and Parks Board (LTPB)
will host a Wildlife Conference and Game
Auction in July, aimed at promoting Limpopo
as a wildlife destination.
