Good results against stealthy

The National Park of Limpopo always faced the combat of the stealthy hunt as a subject of permanent work. There is not any ended formula for treatment of subjects related with the stealthy hunt. Recently the Park has introduced some changes in the strategy of the protection. It passed from the outlined protection in team, established in permanent piquet for a new formula, involving the team and mobile piquet and this change is giving up good results.

In the last times, due to the drought, lifted a little the level of subsistence hunt again, because the people don't have a lot of alternatives in terms of other sources for there sustenance.

The commercial hunt is being controlled, in spite of the persistence of some focus, very isolated. The coordination of safety's program and protection has the control, practically of most of the groups that operate in the several areas of the Park, due to a very big net of informants in the two sides of the border, namely in the National Park of Limpopo, in Mozambique, and in Kruger National Park, in South Africa.

The mobile teams are inside of the Park. In certain circumstances, the Park asks for the collaboration of the Mozambican Police (PRM), for non-common situations. With some frequency, the rangers have been working with the team of border guards, once outstanding inside the Park.
